Study Abroad; ISTITUTO EUROPEO students experience at Calcio Storico.

Calcio Storico, I went to my first game last Saturday and it was nothing close to its name. This sport is a mix between soccer, rugby, wrestling and boxing. Let me say UFC has nothing on Calcio Storico, this sport is more intense than any other type of American sport. It consists of 54 men fighting to defend their goal and to score against their opponents for about 50 minutes straight. The Fans of Calcio Storico are just as entertaining as watching the game, with their various chants, team pride and family ties, these fans are the heart and soul of each of the teams. To watch one of the oldest sports in Florence was a great honor and something that everyone must see at least once in their lives.
